About Us
My name is Amy, and I have been in the grooming industry for over 18 years! I started my own mobile grooming salon in May of 2020 and love being my own boss! I live in Sweet Home, Oregon with my Husband William, our young daughter Amarah and our lovely pack of poodles!
I adopted my first standard poodle Isaac in 2009 when he was 7 years old from a client of mine who could no longer keep him. He was the whole package, everything you could ever want in a dog! He was so smart, energetic, loyal, protective, sweet and a total clown! We unfortunately only got 3 short years with him due to bone cancer, but he was the dog who really fueled my passion for this amazing breed! After we lost him, I got two Afghan hounds and showed them for a few years in AKC conformation, but my dream was still to get a nice standard and start my own kennel so I can share this wonderful breed with others! In 2016 I got Bijoux to get started realizing my dream!! I finally started showing in the spring of 2021 in UKC Conformation with the encouragement of a few good friends in the breed and can't get enough! We look forward to participating in other performance events with our dogs in the future in both UKC & AKC!

About Our Breed
Standard Poodles are a water dog originating in Germany centuries ago! They were bred for waterfowl retrieval, and there are still many kennels who breed for such purposes today! Basically, anything your lab can do they can do better lol!
The Standard Poodle is known for its high level of intelligence, trainability, and non-shedding hypoallergenic coat. They are a very loving and affectionate breed that do very well with many types of families. Poodles are also very athletic and one of the most versatile breeds. They excel at many dog sports such as agility and obedience, as well as assistance and therapy and service dog work. They require regular grooming to maintain their coat, but their hairstyles are endless and can be clipped to a lower maintenance trim if needed to accommodate your lifestyle.
Standard Poodles have a fairly wide range in size that can vary from 16' or taller and can range from 35-80+ lbs.

Our Goals
Our goal is to improve the temperament, health and conformation of our amazing breed, focusing mainly on our multicolor standards but not limited to (we love our solids as well). We hope to become more active in AKC & UKC perfomance events as we work towards UKC Conformation titles on the dogs we currently have in our program. We want to show our dogs are more than just a pretty face!
